Little Charlie Gard’s parents raised one-and-a-half million dollars to get their son experimental treatment in the U.S. But the hospital and European courts refused to allow Charlie to be transferred. When treatment was no longer a viable option, the hospital even refused to allow mom and dad to bring Charlie home to die. It was one cruelty after another inflicted upon the parents and child. What will Charlie’s parents do with the money? They’re forming the Charlie Gard Foundation to help families in similar situations. Connie, the baby’s mom, said, “Charlie will save many more lives in the future, no doubt about that.” And in the U.S., pro-life senators have introduced a parental rights constitutional amendment to protect families from wayward medical institutions in America.
