For me, getting excited about Christmas is like breathing. Some of us have more enthusiasm than others. But nearly everyone wants to keep the joy and excitement of Christmas in our hearts all year round. This week I’m sharing Bible verses that help me do that. The Old Testament is fertile ground for pointing God’s children to the Messiah. It was done with pinpoint accuracy hundreds of years before the star shown down on that dusty manger. Isaiah 9:6 reads, “For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be upon his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Let the words of these prophets stir in your heart the same passion they undoubtedly had in theirs as they foretold his coming.
