Father’s Day 2020

Father’s Day is right around the corner and it may feel for many that a day, intended to celebrate fathers is somewhat tainted by pandemic and social unrest. There’s no doubt we’re facing uncertain and turbulent times. But I believe it’s God’s mandate we celebrate fatherhood because our Heavenly Father knows the importance of this role – His role as father provided our salvation. God’s word in Psalm 127 says, “Children are a heritage from the Lord, offsping a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.” When we are blessed, we should rejoice. Fathers are an important part of God’s plan for all of mankind. So, let’s celebrate!
