Praising the Religiously Unaffiliated

Bradley Mattes   |   September 10, 2019

The Democrat National Committee held their summer meeting and passed a startling resolution.  It praised the values of the “religiously unaffiliated.”  Yes, people who have no religious beliefs.  The resolution read in part, “Religiously unaffiliated Americans overwhelmingly share the Democratic Party’s values.”  The move was championed by the Secular Coalition of America, an atheist lobbying organization that says it would “ensure that policy is driven by science” not religious beliefs.  It’s reported that many Democrats believe scientific evidence backs up the Bible, and the Bible’s a perfect guide for sinful mankind.  So, the net effect of this resolution remains to be seen.  I’m not endorsing or opposing any political party, just reporting the news.
