Netflix Gets Burned

Bradley Mattes   |   July 30, 2019

Netflix got a hard lesson in the importance of staying out of politics.  Georgia passed a heartbeat bill which would end abortion once an unborn baby’s heartbeat can be detected.  Netflix threatened to stop filming in Georgia and vowed to work with the ACLU to fight the bill.  This infuriated pro-lifers throughout the nation, many calling for a boycott of the business.  For the first time, Netflix’s quarterly report showed a loss of paid subscribers when they were expecting a sizeable gain – nearly a half-million subscribers short of expectations.  Their stock also took a hit.  Netflix should take a lesson from Delta Airlines.  They refused to take a position on the bill.  As a million-mile flyer with Delta, that made me happy.  Maybe Netflix will learn.

  2. I wonder if the right people at Netflix have these numbers. . It would be good to get a reporter to do an editorial or a program on it

  3. Obama and his wife are affiliated with Netflix now. The are doing all that can be done to battle the co set Conservative Christian values.
