The Bakersfield Pregnancy Center realizes many women choose abortion because they’re worried about job security and paying the bills. So, the Center hosted its first ever job fair. The event was designed to help their clients beyond pregnancy, but was open to everyone. Erin Rogers, the Center director, said, “If a job is what the problem is, let’s solve that problem.” Response was so encouraging, they decided to host another. Pro-abortion activists and politicians often criticize pro-lifers for not caring about women after the baby is born. This is patently false, and the Bakersfield Center proves it once again. They now plan to hold two annual job fairs – one in the spring, the other in fall. This is in addition to other free services equipping women to say yes to life.
