City Council Speaks out for Life

The voice of the people is being heard in local communities regarding abortion.  The City Council of Roswell, New Mexico was appalled by the state legislature’s attempt to revoke a decades-old law protecting unborn babies, leaving nothing in its place.  This would result in unlimited abortion throughout pregnancy.  So, by a near-unanimous vote (there was one abstention) they passed a resolution stating, “innocent human life, including fetal life, must always be protected.”  The Council also went on record opposing the state legislative effort to allow abortion on demand.  In a surprising upset that shocked the pro-abortion governor, a bipartisan effort in the New Mexico legislature stopped the extreme bill from passing.  Praise God for this victory!
