Gerber Baby

Every year the Gerber baby food company has a contest to find America’s cutest baby and parents hope their baby will receive the honor.  This year it was Lucas Warren.  What makes the result extra special is Lucas has Down syndrome.  This was no charity selection.  Lucas certainly deserves the prize.  Looking at his picture, you could scoop him up and plant kisses all over that cute face of his.  The selection of Lucas and the publicity it’s generated is important.  It’s another example that babies and individuals with Down syndrome are just like you and me.  They are all blessings to those who cross their paths.  God delighted in making Lucas.  His parents delight in being his mom and dad.  And I’m thrilled to welcome him into the human family.
