The recent dustup over so-called conservative YouTube personality, Tomi Lahren exposes a glaring flaw within pro-abortion ranks.
It fundamentally impacts their ability to argue the rightness or wrongness of legal abortion in America. And by failing to address it, they lack credibility to present their case at all.
Those who advocate continued legal abortion ignore basic medical science. Further, their success hinges on keeping Americans in the dark regarding the realities surrounding abortion.
Tomi Lahren is a case in point. She stated on The View, “I can’t sit here and be a hypocrite and say I’m for limited government but I think the government should decide what women do with their bodies.” (emphasis mine.)
Medical science proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that upon fertilization there is a unique individual who is a totally separate entity from her mother and father. The baby is not part of the woman’s body, but simply dependent upon the mother for his or her life. As is the child during infancy and beyond. Abortion kills that baby.
Lahren isn’t the only one to eschew science for ideology. It began with US Supreme Court Justice Harry Blackmun. In the Court’s 1973 majority opinion on Roe v. Wade he wrote, “We need not resolve the difficult question of when life begins. When those trained in the respective disciplines of medicine, philosophy, and theology are unable to arrive at any consensus, the judiciary, at this point in the development of man’s knowledge, is not in a position to speculate as to the answer.”
With all due respect, that is pure rubbish and Justice Blackmun knew it.
Even before the 60s it was common knowledge that life began at fertilization. At the 1959 Planned Parenthood/Population Council symposium, Dr. Bent Boving foresaw a public relations nightmare with the birth control pill causing early abortions before implantation. He suggested that the definition of pregnancy be changed from the time of fertilization, the union of sperm and egg, to implantation, saying, “the societal advantage of [birth control] being considered to prevent conception rather than to destroy an established pregnancy could depend on something so simple as a prudent habit of speech.” In 1965 the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists went along with Boving’s reasoning.
Already then they knew the facts and were adept at how to hide them from the public to advance their agenda.
As a presidential candidate, Barack Obama jumped aboard the science-denial bandwagon when asked about the status of an unborn baby. He famously declared that this question, “…is above my paygrade.”
For years abortion facility staff has lied to women contemplating abortion, saying it’s not a baby, but only mass of tissue, fearful of losing a paying customer. Yet the baby is well enough defined to harvest and sell their organs and other body parts.
Recently, Planned Parenthood vice president, Dawn Laguens, refused to answer the question, “Is it a piece of tissue or is it a separate human being?” This executive who claims to represent a medical care provider responded, “I think that’s up to each individual to decide what they believe.” Seriously?
What other medical care provider leaves foundational medical facts, pertinent to the patient’s life and health, solely up to the patient’s interpretation? Nobody, because it’s malpractice.
The abortion industry and those who support it don’t build their case on facts. Quite the contrary, they do all they can to conceal them. This isn’t tolerated anywhere in the legitimate medical community.
This flat-earth approach is a desperate and ineffectual cover-up to sustain their radical political agenda and keep money flowing into the abortion industry.
Pro-abortion advocates, politicians, the media and well-funded corporations can’t keep up this colossal deception much longer. Thanks to the popularity of ultrasound, intrauterine surgery and the voices of abortion victims, including those who’ve committed abortion, legal abortion is living on borrowed time. And they know it.
Abortion advocates didn’t count on the pro-life movement surviving over the last four decades, nor did they expect us to grow in size and sophistication. I must admit, back in the 70s, even we had our momentary doubts, but a passion for justice and truth compelled us forward.
Pro-life education is the foundation on which we build political and legislative victories. We can’t expect pro-life legislators to endure the heat of battle without igniting a burning desire in their hearts to defend the defenseless.
We have tools to help you share the truth about fetal development, abortion statistics, end of life issues, Planned Parenthood and many other aspects of the life issues. We have over 5,000 pages to help you change hearts and minds of Americans on the sanctity of life.
Let’s keep working together to educate and engage our fellow Americans in the greatest civil rights movement of our age.
Working to reveal the truth,
