October is National Down syndrome Awareness Month. So I’m bringing you a special week’s worth of Life Issues programs that share the beauty and blessings people with Down syndrome bring to families, friends and society in general. Take Will Downs who surprised his parents, Dawn and Glenn, at birth. At the time, they knew nothing about Down syndrome but quickly learned. Looking back, and because of the tremendous blessing he’s been to all around him, if they’d known about Will’s condition beforehand they would’ve never considered abortion. A teenager next door was so impacted by Will; he chose special education for a career. Sadly, up to ninety-percent of mothers who get a Down diagnosis while pregnant opt for abortion. So you and I must be a loud voice for the babies.
