Ministry From the Ashes

God is known for taking tragedy in people’s lives and turning them into opportunities to expand His kingdom.  That’s the case with my good friend Sheila Harper.  She was so distraught over her abortion, she found herself sitting on the edge of a bed with a gun pointed at her head.  The one thing that prevented a suicide from unfolding was her roommate came home early due to illness.  With the help of others Sheila was healed from her abortion and started a ministry called SaveOne, helping men, women, and families recover after an abortion.  SaveOne now has 275 domestic chapters and 74 international chapters.  Out of the ashes of Sheila’s abortion tragedy came a global effort to provide hope and healing to people around the world.
