You Saved My Life

I often tell you of the good work Forty Days for Life does praying in front of abortion facilities – even those around the world.  Hugo, one of their volunteers, was praying in front of an abortion center in Mexico City and was discouraged because he didn’t think his presence mattered.  But it did.  A man planned to die by suicide because his girlfriend aborted their baby.  He was on a city bus, going to where he planned to kill himself.  But the bus drove by the facility where Hugo was kneeling in prayer.  This so moved the man, he got off the bus and spoke with him.  After a long conversation, the man changed his mind about dying and Hugo directed him to healing resources to help him navigate through his pain and sorrow.  He told Hugo, “You saved my life.”
