Angels had a leading role in announcing the birth of our Savior. God’s magnificent creatures announced the good news first to shepherds, the lowest of society. It never gets old to hear Linus from a Charlie Brown Christmas talk about the angels as he gets to the heart of matter on that school stage. How do we hang on to that warm Christmas memory? The Bible often speaks of angels directing and protecting God’s children. Psalm 91 verses 11 and 12 promises, “He will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.” May the Bible’s mentions of angles remind you of that Christmas night and thrill your heart like it did the shepherds. Merry Christmas!
