November is National Adoption Month and Brittany Berri is a model example promoting adoption. She and Branden adopted a child, a costly endeavor, so a family member helped them financially. This motivated Brittany to start a second-hand store in DeWitt, Iowa called The Adopted Closet. Proceeds help families pay what can be an overwhelming amount of money to adopt a child. Once the community got wind of the store, she has received loads, and I do mean loads of merchandise to sell. Plus, she supplements her inventory by shopping. Britney says, “Guys get excited about a touchdown, I get excited about garage sales.” It’s fun to see God plant seeds of passion to further His work.
