The pro-life legislature in the state of Louisiana has passed a resolution designating January 22nd as the Day of Tears to mourn the killing of over 62 million preborn children. On that day they encourage the residents of Louisiana to join the state in flying their flags at half-mast to mourn these babies. State Senator Beth Mizell, sponsor of the resolution, said, “As a pro-life state we must continue to bring attention to the loss of innocent lives from abortion…Let us work together to demonstrate that we value life and strive to protect the unborn.” The state joins Alabama and Arkansas in adopting the Day of Tears. While this may seem like a small victory, it’s another undeniable message that the people of America oppose abortion.
