The Missouri State House of Representatives unanimously voted to increase financial help for those who foster or adopt children. Obviously, it was a bipartisan effort. Couples fostering children are eligible for a $5,000 tax deduction. Those who adopt can receive a $10,000 tax credit. Adoption is wildly expensive and prevents many families from growing. Now compare what Missouri is doing to the state of Virginia. Its legislature sent to the governor’s desk a bill that will force the state’s citizens to pay for all abortions. The vote followed a strict party line with only one Democrat opposing the pro-abortion measure. Now, if you wanted to expand your family and were offered identical jobs in both states, where would you choose to live?
