A pair of Olympic bobsledders are recipients of something far greater than a gold medal – their son Nico. Nic and Elana Taylor joyfully welcomed their son regardless of his condition. Nico has Down syndrome. Elana said, “People with Down syndrome can live long, happy successful lives.” And this mother is familiar with success. She’s a two-time bobsled world champion and has already won two silver and one bronze Olympic medals. However, she wants to hang her future gold medals around Nico’s neck. As for her son, she said, “I love him, and I think he’s absolutely perfect.” If you ask me, this is the kind of motivation that will produce gold medals at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Please keep this family in your prayers.
