A Burning Issue

Bradley Mattes   |   October 28, 2020

One of the burning policy issues raised for public discussion this year is the idea of expanding the US Supreme Court.  Let’s take a purely educational look at this.  Our government was designed to have three independent branches for an effective system of checks and balances.  A Court expansion would undermine the independence of the judiciary branch and make it a political arm of the legislative branch.  The goal would be to achieve partisan results, which is very likely to be the outcome.  If so, we would have two legislative bodies and one executive branch.  The impact would be felt on the life of every American.  Watch a new video on the critical importance of the Supreme Court in ending abortion in America, visit lifeissues.org and click on the top banner.
