The ruling by the US Supreme Court striking down Louisiana’s law is a bitter disappointment. It was a modest pro-life requirement that abortionists have admitting privileges to a hospital within thirty miles of where the abortions are committed. The ruling clearly demonstrates the need for pro-lifers to continue electing candidates who respect life and will further transform the nation’s highest court. The entire judiciary must be our top priority. This is evidenced by Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh, who dissented from the Court’s ruling. The process to end abortion is slow, but we must not lose hope. We must continue this life-and-death battle because the alternative of allowing abortion on demand to continue is unthinkable. The Lord will give us strength.
