California Should be a No Kill State

Bradley Mattes   |   February 03, 2020

Governor Gavin Newsom of California has asked for an end to euthanasia in Animal shelters, saying “We want to be a no-kill state.”  This is blatant hypocrisy.  California allows abortion on demand throughout pregnancy and mandates chemical abortion pill distribution on college and university campuses.  Assisted suicide is legal and the law allows encouraging it for the terminally ill.  The state also allows it for dying patients involuntarily committed to psychiatric hospitals due to mental illness.  So, if Governor Newsom wants California to be a no-kill state, he needs to get busy ending the killing of the state’s most innocent and vulnerable citizens.  People who are killed against their wishes, or under circumstances where informed consent is highly questionable.
