The Lone Star state deserves a gold star for this. Texas has placed an all-time high number of children for adoption this year. The number of kids leaving foster care in 2019 has considerably outpaced the those entering the system. Governor Greg Abbott said, “A record number of children are experiencing the joy of a loving home this Christmas season.” It happened because many dedicated individuals – both child advocates and adoptive parents – have worked diligently to this end. I hope and pray this develops into a trend, and that additional states follow the fine example set by Texas. It’s further proof pro-lifers are putting their hearts and homes where their mouths are when it comes to abortion. They’re providing a wonderful alternative.
