Google, the most used search engine, claims it’s not biased when it comes to searching for content on controversial topics. It claims it doesn’t manipulate the information and there’s no blacklist of websites. However, an extensive investigation by the Wall Street Journal shows the opposite is true. Its findings show Google keeps blacklists, manually makes “algorithmic changes” which include unseen adjustments, and has boosted major websites over smaller ones. Over a several day period, the Journal searched the word “abortion” and Planned Parenthood came up thirty-nine percent of the time, compared with about sixteen percent with other search engines. The evidence shows this social media kingpin unfairly promotes a pro-abortion agenda.
