Firefighter Saves Newborn

Bradley Mattes   |   July 12, 2019

Detroit firefighter, Marcus Moore, has seen many things in his job, but this was a day he’ll long remember.  An emergency call came in that a thirteen-year-old girl was unexpectedly giving birth in a bathroom.  While in route the child was born.  Marcus and the team found mom unconscious with her baby lying on the floor wrapped in a towel. The first responders said the baby periodically gasped and they couldn’t find a heartbeat.  They began performing CPR and eventually got the newborn infant to breath on his own.  The ambulance crew took it from there.  The young mother reportedly said she didn’t know she was pregnant.  Marcus, a dad himself, was just thankful they were there to help those involved.  He was a part of God’s merciful plan.
