Nearly eleven years ago, Sarah Wickline Hull was pregnant when told she had an aggressive form of cancer. Doctor after doctor told her to abort the baby, but she refused – even though it was possible she could die. Sarah had struggled with infertility for several years before becoming pregnant and wouldn’t give in to the pressure of abortion. Instead, she found doctors who supported her, and gave birth to a healthy girl. This month her daughter will celebrate birthday number ten and Sarah, who will be there to party with her, says she’s a “living reminder doctors don’t know everything.” My experience has been when it comes to abortion and other issues, many doctors think the MD after their name stands for medical deity. It does not.
