A column by Dr. David Prentice with the Charlotte Lozier Institute makes a convincing argument for the effectiveness of adult stem cells, calling them the “gold standard in regenerative medicine.” His comments were published in Circulation Research, a very prestigious journal of the American Heart Association. Dr. Prentice points out that over one million people around the globe have been treated with adult stem cells for blood-related conditions alone. Overall, they’re superior in clinical treatments and growing evidence shows they’re effective in regeneration and repair. Looks like the contest between adult and embryonic stem cells is over. Adult stem cells win, so scientists no longer need to kill human embryos for their failed research.
