It’s Our Moment in History

The nation is embroiled in conversation about New York and other states passing legislation allowing abortion until birth, and the killing of a baby who survives the abortion procedure.

Yes, we are talking about infanticide.

Get more details by listening to a special, extended edition of my daily radio commentary Life Issues. Don’t let this conversation discourage you! This is no time for pessimism. It is our moment in history to advance the pro-life cause.

The President, Congress and much of America are now focused on the appalling inhumanity perpetuated by an extreme pro-abortion lobby.

Who’s behind this gruesome agenda? It’s pro-abortion Democrats who are standing on the wrong side of history, the wrong side of humanity and the wrong side of medicine and science.

The congressional battle to protect babies who survive a failed abortion began in the Senate when Ben Sasse (R) of Nebraska asked for Unanimous Consent to pass the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. Incredible as it seems, Senator Patty Murray (D) of Washington objected, which blocked it from moving forward.

Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell in effect said, you can run, but you can’t hide. He is committed to bring the legislation up for a vote.

In the House, Rep Mark Walker (R) North Carolina also asked for Unanimous Consent for the Born-Alive bill but the pro-abortion Democrats in leadership refused to even acknowledge the request. The pro-life Republican leadership is not giving up.

Imagine publicly opposing care and medical treatment for babies who survive a failed abortion!

Taking a stand to protect innocent human life is right regardless of what the polls say, but I want you to know you’re in a large majority. A new SBA List poll shows 77% of Americans support legislation protecting these babies. And like you, they recognize the brutality of what pro-abortion Democrats are striving to achieve.

It’s no coincidence that New York Governor Mario Cuomo’s popularity has plummeted since he signed and celebrated their tragic pro-abortion victory. At the same time, President Trump’s support has risen as he defends the babies.

This has been a priority issue with the President. He addressed it in the State of the Union, Tweeted about it multiple times and has passionately called for legislation to protect newborn infants at risk.

Just days ago, Governor Cuomo was at the White House attending a meeting on tax revision and President Trump used the opportunity to express his concerns to Cuomo.

“Millions of innocent beautiful babies are counting on us to protect them, and we will” Trump promised at an El Paso, Texas rally this week.

We’re talking about saving real lives. A few years back I interviewed three individuals who survived late-term abortions and were recently featured on Fox and Friends. Watch their moving and amazing stories.

Abortion advocates claim few late-term abortions are performed in America. It depends on how you define “few.” In 2014, 12,000 babies were killed by late-term abortion, more than the number of homicide deaths with firearms the same year.

Pro-abortion activists say these late-term abortions are almost always done on babies with severe disabilities or a risk to the mother’s life. Not true. Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health, a journal of the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute read, “data suggests that most women seeking” late-term abortions “are not doing so for [these] reasons.”

Regardless of the health of the baby, he or she deserves to be protected. And you can take action to help save their lives. Encourage your Senators and Representative, to support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act.

It’s also of vital importance that we let others know that those who support abortion will stop at nothing to guarantee a dead baby after a failed abortion. Please share this and its links with others.

For the babies and their mothers,
