Valentine’s Day is best known as a celebration of romantic love. It’s also a good day to celebrate the love between a mother and child. This ironclad bond is what helps a woman say no to abortion. It enables her to endure the doctor’s sobering news there’s a serious complication with the baby, or gives her the strength to face a pregnancy in the wake of sexual assault. A love that puts the child’s welfare above her own as she makes an adoption plan. A love that perseveres in spite of a tragic abortion decision. A love that lasts throughout the child’s life and beyond. As you celebrate God’s blessing of romantic love, remember in your prayers the miraculous love countless mothers, regardless of the situation, hold in their hearts today and every day.
