It’s World Down Syndrome Day, and you and I have good reason to celebrate these special people among us. Ask anyone who’s been blessed with a family member, friend or neighbor. Sadly, over 67 percent of unborn babies diagnosed with Down syndrome are aborted. So, eight states have passed or introduced legislation ending abortion because of this condition. Planned Parenthood and the ACLU have attacked these bills and sued to stop them in court. When it comes to this ultimate discrimination, one ACLU attorney said, “The woman has an absolute right” to abort them. Today and every day, please make a strong defense of our brothers and sisters whom God has placed in our lives. When compared with them, I often feel I’m the one with a special need.
