Those who promote assisted suicide and euthanasia say they’re doing it for the patient—for their right to choose when and how to end their lives. Well this is where euthanasia ultimately goes. A woman over 80 in Holland allegedly told her doctor when “the time was right” she wanted to be euthanized, but lately had expressed a desire to continue living. Even so, the doctor put a sedative in her coffee. When the woman protested being killed, the doctor asked relatives to physically restrain her while she gave her a lethal injection and killed her. The chairman of a euthanasia oversight committee said, “I am convinced the doctor acted in good faith.” They sell this as a choice, but refuse to give the patient a right to change their minds. This is euthanasia.
