I am Optimistic About Ending Abortion

Bradley Mattes   |   February 03, 2016

If I were a pro-abortion activist, I’d be seriously depressed.  During the last five years, states have passed nearly three-hundred pro-life laws.  This isn’t some Pollyanna pro-life report.  It comes from the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute, first established as the research arm of Planned Parenthood.  People often ask me if I’m optimistic we’ll end abortion, and I respond with a big smile and enthusiasm.  Yes I am!  And the hundreds of pro-life laws are just one of many reasons why.  It’s been a long, hard battle which I’ve been active in for over forty years.  Make no mistake, we’ve got lots of work ahead, but you and I can be encouraged—very encouraged that one day all babies will be safe from the violence of abortion.  Almost sounds like a little piece of heaven doesn’t it?
