Pregnant Olympian Runner

Here’s a happy story.  Alysia Montano, an Olympic runner, recently competed in the US Track and Field Championships in Sacramento.  What makes this unusual is she was eight-and-a-half months pregnant, and showing it.  She felt good running and her doctors gave the okay.  But when it became obvious her pregnancy was advanced, she began to get a lot of pushback.  Alysia lagged behind the other runners, but her appearance generated the loudest applause of the day.  She got a standing ovation as she completed her first lap.  The clapping continued to get louder until she crossed the finish line.  The even better news is in the birth announcement she posted on her Instagram account.  It welcomed her new daughter who arrived in perfect health.  What a beautiful pro-life message.
