After the election of Pope Francis, many were concerned about his Jesuit background which has a reputation for all things liberal, including abortion. Recent actions taken by Francis have added fuel to the fire—two Archbishop appointments in Chicago and Madrid, Spain. Both are liberals replacing conservative bishops. In Chicago the new guy ordered priests not to participate in prayerful vigils outside abortion mills. In Madrid, it was widely expected a conservative in the Vatican would get the appointment. Shortly before all this, Pope Francis removed Cardinal Raymond Burke, a dedicated pro-lifer, out of a key Vatican post to one of great pageantry but little authority. The saying that a man’s actions speak louder than words applies in this case. Sadly, the unborn and their moms may suffer.
