If you don’t think Obamacare will affect medical treatment of you and loved ones, listen to this personal account. My colleague, Dr. Jack Willke, used to be the voice of this radio program. He and Barbara were just weeks away from celebrating their sixtieth wedding anniversary when she had a bad fall. Solely because of her age, doctors assumed she wouldn’t have life-saving surgery. Normally they wouldn’t even tell the family of this option and the patient would die within a couple of days. Only because Barbara’s daughter and husband were doctors, did they come clean. Compare this with Formula One driver, Michael Schumacher, who had a similar injury. He benefited from immediate and aggressive medical care to save his life. This age discrimination will be rampant under Obamacare.
