I’ve just returned from Europe. First I spoke at a rally in Holland before their annual march for life. And later at an international conference of pro-life leaders. From there I flew to London to meet with colleagues. I had planned to see my dear friend, Alison Davis, who’s been an eloquent spokesperson against euthanasia. She’s been in a wheelchair all her life and the last few years have been very difficult. Alison’s condition worsened as my trip grew near. Sadly, she died right before I was to leave. Instead of a joyful visit, I attended her funeral and helped carry her casket. She’s now in the loving arms of Jesus and I’m thankful her suffering has ended. Once again I’m reminded of the preciousness of life and because of Christmas, I know I’ll see her again.
