Remember the cherished Christmas song “The Little Drummer Boy”? It’s one of my favorites. It cuts through all the commercialism and secularism of this time of year, and goes straight to the heart of the matter—Christ’s birth. This poor boy had nothing but his music to present to the Christ child. But in reality, he was richer than most everyone. The little drummer boy knew Jesus as his personal savior, thus having the most prized possession there is—eternal life. Second, there was no distracting him from his priority to worship the newborn King. Even if his Christmas present was humble, his pure heart and motivation made it priceless. Today is Christmas. What gift do you have for Jesus? Why not give Him your heart? There’s nothing He wants more. Merry Christmas!
