Life Issues Radio Transcript for February 19, 2010:
Guards Deny Free Speech
Meghan Duke got more than she bargained for at the March for Life in Washington, DC last month. She did what I often do, stop in at the National Gallery of Art afterward. It’s a great way to warm up.
But two guards at the museum who didn’t like her pro-life lapel pin told her she’d have to take it off if she wanted to come in. When Meghan asked why, they said it was an issue of separation of church and state. They claimed her pin was a religious statement and not allowed in a federal building. These bullying guards decided to play Supreme Court for a day and were dead wrong about Meghan’s constitutional rights. Their supervisor agreed. Be on your guard.
Don’t let people bully you by denying your right to speak out for life.
