Life Issues Radio Transcript for January 1, 2010:
Protect Your Children
A new study adds credibility to parents’ efforts to teach your kids abstinence until marriage. The Indiana University School of Medicine studied hundreds of teenage urban girls and found half of them get a sexually transmitted disease within two years of beginning sexual activity.
In addition, by the fourth year, virtually all of thosen girls got an STD again. When your child has sex with a partner, he or she is having sex with everyone else in a huge community chain of sexual activity. Don’t think your kid is off the hook if you have a son or live in a rural location. The study didn’t include these kids, but common sense indicates they’re largely affected also.
No matter where you live, you’re protecting your kids by teaching them early to save sex for marriage.
