Coerce Your Girlfriend into Having an Abortion

A website designed for men had an advice column telling them how to coerce their girlfriends into having abortions. As you can expect, the column is all about focusing on the wants and desires of the man, basically kicking the woman and her unborn child to the curb. One piece of advice was: choose your words carefully. The writer warned that pregnant women see themselves as carrying someone, as opposed to something—even early in pregnancy. But even an irrational pregnant woman, is says, can be persuaded to deny her maternal feelings if manipulated in the right way. You ask what kind of sexist and vile man would come up with this kind of advice? None. The column was written by a woman. But a storm of controversy caused them to pull it from the website.
