Life-Size Model of Your Unborn Child

Not only can expectant parents see their unborn baby via four-dimensional ultrasound, technology may soon give them another amazing option. A London art student has developed software to take four-D ultrasound and actually make the image of the unborn baby into a life-size model, called rapid prototyping. Yes, parents may soon get to hold in their hands a scientifically accurate replica of their baby in the womb. Imagine the impact this could have on mothers and fathers contemplating abortion. It would make their unborn child much more human to them and to everyone who sees the model. Ultrasound has been a remarkable tool to save babies from abortion. If this new window to the womb becomes widespread, it could help turn the abortion debate on its head.
