Her Shocking Honesty

The public debate over abortion is taking an interesting twist. A prominent feminist, Camille Paglia, is publicly advocating a stunning display of honesty in her ongoin campaign for unrestricted abortion. In an article appearing on Salon dot com she wrote, "I have always frankly admitted abortion is murder, the extermination of the powerless by the powerful." She also says it's ridiculous for her pro-abortion colleagues to argue the unborn baby is just a lump of tissue. Paglia says abortion is "The annihilation of concrete individuals." Still, she says, women have the right to kill their unborn children. The logic is honest but doomed to failure. The more people understand abortion, the more they'll reject it.
