Baby Brain a Myth

Researchers say "Baby Brain" is a myth. This is what some say is the loss of a woman's memory or reasoning capacity while she's pregnant. Previous research has added to this opinion. But a new study comparing the same women before and during pregnancy says it's not true. It's the only study to take such a comprehensive look at the issue. Actually, emerging research is saying giving birth supercharges brainpower and equips women for raising their child. Hormonal fluctuations during birth and breastfeeding, they say, increase the size of some brain cells. This leads to better mental capacity. Dr. Craig Kinsley of Richmond Univeristy in Virginia says these changes could last a lifetime. So it appears getting pregnant not only gives you a beautiful glow, it makes you smarter too!
