Reducing the Need for Abortion

At the famous Notre Dame speech, President Obama said, “Let us work together to reduce the number of women seeking abortions.” But just before this speech, the White House brought together leaders on both sides of abortion to find common ground. The meeting took an unexpected turn when Melody Barnes, the Director of Domestic Policy for the president said, “It is not our goal to reduce the number of abortions.” The goal, she insisted is to “reduce the need for abortions.” This is a ridiculous statement. You measure the success of reducing the need for abortion by seeing the number of abortions go down. This exposes the Obama administration for what it really is. They don’t want the number of abortions to go down. And the president’s actions have proved it.
