Jump Roping With a Snake

Two Internet headlines caught my attention recently. One was Michael Vick, the football star, who got out of prison for financing a dog fighting ring. Another was a high school student in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania who’s being charged in juvenile court. His crime is using a biology class snake for a jump rope. He’s being charged with theft and cruelty to animals. Now, I’m not condoning cruelty to animals in any form. I wouldn’t be caught dead jump roping or anything else with a snake. But these headlines remind me of an important fact. Each day over three thousand unborn babies are intentionally killed in abortion mills throughout America. Where’s the moral outrage regarding this tragic human loss? Sadly, preborn children don’t enjoy the same political correctness. They deserve much better.
