A Day to Honor Our Heroes

Today is Memorial Day. It’s a sad but proud time to remember, thank and honor those who have given their lives in defense of the freedoms we hold dear. Among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. You’ll notice life is mentioned first. Without the basic right to life, all other liberties are a moot point. The intentional killing of life, like abortion, contradicts the very reason our soldiers, past and present, have given up their lives. Don’t let today simply be time off work or a family gathering. Use it to remember and honor those who’ve paid the ultimate price for our freedoms. And especially remember in your prayers today those they left behind. Countless families and friends grieve today because someone they dearly loved died for our country.
