Jack Kemp Passing

The pro-life movement notes with deep sadness the passing of former Congressman Jack Kemp. He was a faithful and tireless advocate for ending the brutality of abortion. In the immediate wake of his death, pro-abortion Senator Arlen Specter, who recently changed parties, made a particularly disturbing remark. He inflicted insult on the grieving family when he said Jack Kemp would be alive today if his Republican Party had given more tax funding to cancer research. This is an outrageous thing to say; especially considering the enormous tax funding cancer research already receives. Arlen Specter is a cancer survivor and should know better. As a cancer survivor myself I find it offensive. My prayers are with Jack Kemp’s family. He was a pro-life hero.
