Plant Dignity

You will be relieved to know Switzerland’s parliament has passed legislation protecting animals and plants. While their unborn babies are routinely killed in the womb, lawmakers are concerned with things like “plant dignity.” Researchers will have to respect the plants they experiment on in order to be eligible for government funding. If you’re a fisherman, you have to take a course on humane fishing before you can get your line wet. Before you can buy a dog, you must first complete a course in canine treatment. The government will also dictate how farmers must treat their livestock. While all this political correctness runs amuck, innocent preborn babies can be killed at will by abortion. You know things are bad when a house plant has more rights than an unborn child.
