Risking Lives to Make a Buck

A special unit of the Los Angeles Police Department raided some area abortion mills. According to officials, they found Bertha Bugarin and her sister, Raquel, illegally performing abortions, a felony, and dispensing medication without a license. It’s believed Bertha managed four abortion facilities. The sisters were ordered to stay away from the mills, but pro-lifers photographed Bertha at the Chula Vista mill wearing a stethoscope around her neck. Pro-abortion activists said legalizing abortion would eliminate illegal, back-alley abortion mills. But the opposite is true. This recent situation is not an isolated incident. The abortion industry has gotten so casual about killing unborn babies; they’re overlooking unsanitary and unlicensed people who are risking women’s lives to make a buck.
