STDs Affect One Quarter of Teens
A new study is out on sexually transmitted diseases and the news isn’t good. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than one quarter of teenage girls have contracted one of the major STDs. So what’s Planned Parenthood’s reaction? We need more sex education, including the promotion of more condom use. This is exactly what’s contributed to such awful statistics among America’s children. The condom presents a false sense of security and encourages more risky behavior. We don’t tell our children to smoke but use filtered cigarettes. We don’t ask them to drink, but just consume low-alcohol beer. We tell them to abstain from such dangerous conduct. So why should sex outside of marriage be different?
We must teach them to avoid all risky behavior.
