ABOUT U.N.I.C.E.F.

UNICEF (that’s the United Nations’ agency) has again caused a scandal. Some of you may be aware of the fact that children at Halloween have carried boxes and asked for donations while they are trick-or treating. Well, a young lady, Anna Halprine, president of the World Youth Alliance, came out with a strong denunciation and called this practice a major scandal.

She said, "Parents would be scandalized to know that UNICEF actively promotes abortion and unlimited sexual rights for young children." On top of that, the realization that these goals and programs are largely fueled by such children getting donations by a Halloween trick-or-treat — that makes the scandal much worse.

We recall that UNICEF was founded right after World War II. Its purpose? To help starving children after the destruction by that Great War. But since that time, its mission of direct helping actions to children in need has gradually shifted, and now their function largely is the promotion of controversial children’s rights. This new direction de-emphasizes providing services to children who are in poverty and have needs and now emphasizes the promotion of radical feminist, anti-family rights, specifically to advance sexual and reproductive rights for minor children.

What this means is that controversial birth control, sex education and abortion would be made available for children as young as 10 years old, without their parents’ knowledge or consent. Miss Halprine said, "It’s appalling that UNICEF exploits children, as in this Halloween collection, to raise funds for the destruction of children and women in the developing world.

With its radical adolescent, sexual rights agenda, it seeks to limit parental involvement and refuses to define any limits on these terms. UNICEF is abusing the trust which the public had placed on what had been a child-centered operation. Unfortunately, in its new direction, UNICEF has totally abandoned its original mandate to provide basic health care and education services to the poorest children in the world. "By now participating in an aggressive campaign to promote so-called ‘reproductive rights’ under the title of ‘Children’s Rights’, UNICEF, she says, is discrediting the entire movement which it claims to champion."

And so, there you have it, folks–on your black list, on the list of those groups that you must never again donate to–add what had been a good one, UNICEF. But, UNICEF has been totally captured by the anti-life, anti-family, radical feminist, mixed up gender, main-line policies of the United Nations.

If someone knocks on your door and wants a donation for this, kindly send them away. Your donation will not help feed children. Rather, it may well help to kill some little ones and/or subvert the morals of others.
