Only One Choice
Yet another chapter of
Planned Parenthood is ending its affiliation with the kingpin
of the abortion industry. The reason is astounding, if not
ironic.
Amanda Stukenberg, CEO
of the newly-renamed Family Planning of the Coastal Bend in
Texas, told
the local newspaper that Planned Parenthood’s national
leaders want to “standardize operations.” All Planned
Parenthood affiliates will now be REQUIRED to perform
abortions, she said. But Stukenberg’s branch wasn’t
interested in meeting the new requirement—the office prefers
to focus on education and prevention. So, no longer welcome
under Planned Parenthood’s umbrella, they took the only choice
they were given: leave. It seems Planned Parenthood is only
for “choice” if the choice is abortion.
In a way the news is
not all that surprising. Just last year another Planned
Parenthood director announced that she, too, had been told to
shift her priorities. In a powerful episode
of Facing Life Head-On broadcast earlier this year,
Abby Johnson uncovered the truth about what goes on behind
closed doors. Superiors hounded her to increase the number of
abortions within the facility by an astounding 60 percent.
“Abortion needs to be your priority” they told her,
“because that’s where our money is.”
The abortion industry’s
ruthless motivations are becoming more apparent every day.
Planned Parenthood’s mission is to see more babies born dead.
It’s a heartbreaking reality in a season that should be filled
with joy. As we celebrate the Savior who came to give us peace
and eternal life, please say a prayer for the millions of
unborn babies targeted by this grisly industry. Planned
Parenthood refuses to see these children as the precious gifts
of life they are, but truly, there’s more to life than money.
